About Starved Rock Cycling Association
Starved Rock Cycling Association (SRCA) is a cycling club formed in Ottawa, IL, LaSalle County in 1985 and currently have 501(c)(3) status. Our members share a love of cycling, and have a wide variety of interests within the sport of bicycling. Although our interests and level of participation vary, we all have one thing in common; a passion for riding bicycles. We ride, not because we have to but because of how it makes us feel. While riding, we find independence, forge life-long friendships, rise to meet challenges, and discover who we are and what we are capable of.
Although we are in Ottawa Illinois, we support all the communities in the Starved Rock Area of LaSalle County. SRCA organizes several weekly rides. View our Calendar for more information on dates and times. For detailed information on the rides pace, location, etc. view our ride tab.
Our signature event, The Pumpkin Pie Ride is held the first Sunday in October. Come and enjoy some of the best cycling LaSalle county has to offer.
There are several projects that we support, from hosting kids bike fun street smart classes, supporting the installation of bike lanes in the local communities, and supporting bicycles for physically challenged and educating the general public motorist and cyclists to travel on the roads. If you are have a charitable project related to our bicycling mission you would like us to consider, please contact us at [email protected].
