INFORMATION WHO ARE WE? Starved Rock Cycling Association
is a cycling club, formed in Ottawa, IL, LaSalle County in
1985, whose members share a love of cycling. Members have a
wide variety of interests within the sport of bicycling.
Although our interests and level of participation vary, we
all have one thing in common; a passion for riding bicycles.
WHAT WE DO? Provide opportunities for expanding knowledge and
appreciation of bicycling. Encourage recreational cycling activities. Promote public recognition of the need for safer
cycling conditions. Advocate development and improvement of bicycling
facilities, such as bicycle paths and trails. Keep fellow motorists informed about regulations
related to sharing the road with cyclists. (Illinois 3 foot
Rule Law in effect 1/08) BENEFITS OF CLUB MEMBERSHIP Be informed of local cycling events and issues through
the club website - http://www.starvedrockcycling.com Receive members only discounts for club apparel (when
available). Improve your health and fitness via weekly organized
rides. Participate in organized trips, gatherings and other
activities.
